About EZ Floor Planner, the AI Floor Plan Generator
EZ Floor Planner turns a written brief or one uploaded sketch into AI floor plan images. Who it is for, how it works, and what it does not do.
What EZ Floor Planner is
EZ Floor Planner is a browser-based AI floor plan generator. You describe a space in plain words, or upload one image such as a hand sketch or an existing plan and describe a change, and it returns a floor plan image. The same approach covers 3D-style views of a plan, interior and exterior visuals, and garden and landscape ideas.
It is built for the early part of a project: trying out layouts, showing an idea to someone else, and getting to a sensible starting point before anyone draws the real thing.
Who it is for
- Homeowners planning a renovation, an extension or an ADU (accessory dwelling unit) who want to see a few options before talking to a designer or builder.
- Real estate agents who need a clear, labelled layout image for a listing or a client conversation.
- Interior designers exploring layouts and finishes with a client.
- Builders and contractors who want a quick visual for an early estimate or a first meeting.
How it works
- Describe the space, or upload a starting image. List the rooms you need, rough sizes and anything that matters, such as which side the entrance is on. Or upload a sketch, a photo of a plan or an existing plan, and say what should change.
- Choose a model. Generation runs through KIE AI on models including Z-Image, GPT Image and Nano Banana. Each model costs a set number of credits, and the cost is shown on the Generate button before you run it.
- Get the image back. It is saved to your account, where you can download it, add it to Favorites, move it to Trash or turn on a public link to share it. To change it, adjust the description and generate again, or upload the result and describe the change.
The calculators, unit converters and the floor plan symbols guide on the site are free to use and do not need an account.
What it does not do
We would rather you know the limits before you pay:
- It makes images, not drawings. There is no drawing canvas and no editable or layered file.
- It is not drawn to scale. Room sizes, dimensions and labels come from an AI model, not from a measurement, and they can be wrong. Check every figure that matters.
- It does not produce permit or construction documents. Generated images are planning aids, not architectural or engineering drawings. Anything structural or permit-related needs a licensed professional.
- 3D views are pictures. There is no 3D model to rotate or export. A true 3D generator is planned, not live yet.
- CAD export is planned, not live yet. There is no DXF file today; you get the image.
- There are no team workspaces and no API for generation. Each person uses their own account.
- There is no free plan. New accounts get 10 welcome credits for the Z-Image model. Other models and the upload tools use credits from a plan or a one-time pack on the pricing page, and a failed generation returns its credits automatically.
