EZ Floor Planner help: how the AI floor plan tools work

Answers grouped by what you are trying to do — getting started, creating a plan, exporting it, credits and billing, and your account. If none of it covers your question, a support ticket will.

Getting started

Accounts, what you need before you start, and the fastest route to a first plan.

No. EZ Floor Planner runs in the browser on desktop, tablet and phone. There is nothing to download, and nothing to keep updated on each machine.

A description of the space: the rooms you need, rough sizes, and anything that matters, such as where the entrance is. Measurements help you check the result, but the generator does not draw to a measured scale, so treat the output as a layout idea rather than a survey.

Start from something rather than nothing: describe the space and let the generator lay it out, upload a photo of a sketch and convert it, or pick a layout from the template library and adapt it. A short, specific description usually gets closer on the first try than a long, vague one.

New accounts get 10 free credits, which can be spent on the Z-Image model at 2 credits per image. Every other model, including the upload-based tools, uses credits from a plan or a one-time pack on the pricing page.

Creating and editing plans

Generating from a description, converting a sketch, revising an uploaded plan, and 3D-style images.

Describe the space in plain language — the rooms you need, roughly how big, and any constraint that matters, such as which side the entrance is on. The generator returns a floor plan image. It is not an editable drawing: to change it, adjust the description and generate again, or upload the result and describe the change.

Yes. Photograph or scan the sketch, upload it and describe what you want, and you get back a clean floor plan image based on it. The result is an image rather than an editable drawing, so check room names and dimensions against your sketch.

Yes, by describing the change. Upload one existing floor plan or a photo of one, say what should be different — move a wall, add a bathroom — and you get a new image of the revised layout.

Upload a 2D plan to the floor plan to 3D tool and you get a 3D-style rendered image of the layout, which is a quick way to show how rooms connect. It is a picture, not a 3D model you can rotate or export.

They are not guaranteed. Plans are AI-generated images, not drawings made to a measured scale, and labels or figures on them can be off. Check anything that matters against your own measurements, and have anything structural or permit-critical confirmed by a licensed professional.

Exporting and sharing

What is planned, and what you can do with a plan today.

Export is not available yet. Generated plans are shown in the browser and kept in your account, and you can save an image from your browser in the meantime. PNG and DXF export are planned; this page will say so plainly when they ship.

You can share the image, but there is no built-in send or export step yet. When export ships the intent is PNG for the conversation and DXF alongside it for anyone taking the geometry into CAD.

Ask for them in the prompt — naming the rooms and giving overall dimensions usually makes the generator label and annotate the image. Check the figures before you send it: they come from the model, not from a measurement.

In your account, under Designs. Deleting one moves it to Trash rather than removing it immediately, so an accidental delete is recoverable.

Credits and billing

How credits are consumed, where to top them up, and where invoices live.

Credits are how usage is metered. Each generation costs credits, and the cost is shown on the Generate button before you run it. A new account starts with 10 free credits for the Z-Image model; everything else uses credits from a plan or a one-time pack on the pricing page.

No. The 10 free credits on a new account work only for text prompts on the Z-Image model. Tools that start from an upload — converting a sketch, revising a plan, 3D-style images — need credits from a plan or a one-time pack.

Under credits in your account settings, along with the history of what was granted and what has been consumed.

From the pricing page, which lists the current plans and credit bundles. Purchases and payment history appear in your account under billing.

Failed generations are refunded: when a task ends in failure, the credits it used go back to your balance. If your balance still looks wrong afterwards, open a support ticket with the details and we will check it against your account history.

Account and access

Profile details, API keys, and how to get a human to look at something.

From the profile section of your account settings. Changes take effect immediately and apply to everything issued from that account.

Not for generation yet. The API keys section of your account settings lets you create and revoke keys, but generating currently requires being signed in through the browser and does not accept those keys. Revoke any key you do not need.

There are no team workspaces or shared accounts. Each person signs up with their own account, which holds their own designs and credit balance. To share a plan, open it full size and send the image.

Open a support ticket from your account. Tickets keep the conversation attached to your account history, which is what lets us look at credits, purchases and past work when we answer.

What you were trying to do, what happened instead, and roughly when. If it involves a specific plan or a credit balance, say which — that is usually the difference between one reply and four.

Still stuck?

Open a support ticket from your account. Say what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and which plan or purchase it concerns — that is usually enough to resolve it in one reply.
